11th Annual Meeting of Proteomics Society, India, 2019 and International Conference on Proteomics for System Integrated Bio-Omics, One Health and Food Safety
2nd Dec to 4th Dec 2019

PSI WORKSHOP-3 (2 Days, 30th Nov-1st Dec)

Advanced Proteomic Data Analysis A large compendium of statistics and machine learning methods are available for the analysis of proteomics data. In this workshop, we will explore statistical and machine learning approaches for analyzing proteomic data, followed by hands-on exercises that apply these methods and algorithms to real-world datasets. The workshop will help students develop best practices for analyzing proteomics data for a range of applications. Topics covered will include:

  • Data normalization, missing values and batch correction
  • Hypothesis testing and adjustment for multiple-testing
  • Unsupervised and supervised machine learningalgorithms
  • Correlation and outlier analysis
  • Pathway enrichment analysis
  • Cloud computingfor implementing many of these algorithms
